OUR KIDS

MMMM annually provides each school-age child in our program with a new school uniform, a new school athletic outfit, new leather school shoes, a backpack, school textbooks and stationery – all at no cost to the child’s family.

MMMM pays 90% of every student’s school fees for the three annual terms; this includes a healthy lunch and breakfast. These fees average $60-120 per term. MMMM parents are required to responsibly contribute 10% toward the educational fees of their children.

MMMM also distributes a nutritional package to each family in our program at the beginning of every month. This package includes porridge, rice, maize, beans, lentils, cooking oil, soap, toothpaste and sanitary pads.

No Kenyan schools are free; even public schools charge fees which the impoverished families in our program simply cannot afford. Thousands of Kenyan children who reside in slum areas have no access to education. While a number of international charities will only accept children at a very young age (so to take them through their entire academic journey), MMMM considers older kids as well, as we believe that every child deserves a chance to learn and grow.

MMMM has given the schoolchildren in our program renewed hope for the future. We currently support 56 grateful Kenyan kids.
